Post Withdrawal Linkages Support and AOD Aftercare Support

The Geelong Withdrawal Unit is a 12 bed, community based, residential drug and alcohol withdrawal unit and a 3 bed residential, Stage 3 living program. The Unit offers a recovery program that consists of up to three stages.

Stage one of the program is a 6 to 7 day residential stay for adults seeking to withdraw from alcohol and or other drugs in a safe and supportive environment.

Stage two of the program consists of up to a further 21 night residential stay to enable people to stabilise following withdrawal.

Stage three progresses with individual treatment planning and program participation during the further 12 week stay in a house located close to the Unit. 

Support, advocacy and outreach are offered pre, during and post withdrawal for individuals and families.

Criteria

Men and women who are over the age of 18 years, who are medically and psychiatrically stable and are not pregnant
